Once again we will be celebrating UK Older People’s Day which falls on the 1st October with this special event. The Festival for Older People will be held on Friday 5th October 2017 at The Rufus Centre, Steppingley Road, Flitwick opening at 10.00 until 14.30.
This year the focus for the day is to celebrate older people and the contribution they make to society. The theme of this year’s event is ‘Celebrating Older Human Rights Champions’.
Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire will host the Festival for Older People More information can be found here on their website.
As well as being a fun and social event, it will be a great opportunity for older people to get advice and information about health, social care and housing services. There will also be a series of craft stands with items for sale and Wellbeing Room offering complementary therapies and treatments
Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire (HWCB) are working in partnership with Central Bedfordshire Council, Aragon Housing and their resident’s group (ROAR), Flitwick Town Council, Home Instead and Circle MSK to host this year’s Festival for Older People.
