Time Banks and Micro-enterprises
Central Bedfordshire Council is holding workshops on Time Banks and Micro-enterprises at two workshops in July.
What are Time Banks?
Time Banks are a way for local people to help others in their community and be rewarded for it – in time.
For every hour of time you give helping someone, you receive one time credit which you can claim back from others in the scheme.
Anyone can join the Time Bank and everyone’s contribution is valued.
The Time Bank workshop will take place on Friday 13 July 2012 at Priory House, Chicksands from 10am – 1.45pm.

What are Micro-enterprises?
Micro-enterprises are small local enterprises set up for people who need to use care and support services.
They are based on the idea of local people proiding support and services to other local people.
Micro-enterprises are flexible and tailored to the needs of individuals or small groups of people.
The Micro-enterprise workshop will take place on Tuesday 24 July 2012 at Flitwick Village Hall, Flitwick from 10am – 1.45pm.
