The Compact
The Bedfordshire and Luton Compact is a working document aimed at developing a close, efficient and more effective equal working partnership between local voluntary and community organisations and statutory agencies.
Public sector and voluntary and community groups in Central Bedfordshire enjoy good working relationships, and share many aspirations for both the development of our communities and the provision of high quality services.
Currently under review, our local Compact sets out the commitments and shared principles for both the third sector and the public sector in a framework that details involvement in policy development, allocating resources, and advancing equality.

Compact Advice Pack
Voluntary and Community Action Central Bedfordshire and the Community and Voluntary Service have produced a guidance pack for public bodies currently funding the voluntary and community sector.
The guidance recognises the unprecedented financial pressure that public sector organisations are under, and offers advice on Compact compliance when funding is being reviewed.
